CCSHRM History

The Charlotte County Society for Human Resource Management (CCSHRM) was founded in 1992 to meet the needs of human resource professionals in Charlotte County. From our humble beginnings 12 years ago, CCSHRM has grown to an organization that has been recognized as a Superior Merit Chapter by SHRM and to a membership of over 50 members.

CCSHRM is a proud chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the leading voice of the profession in the world. With over 130,000 members, SHRM and its affiliates and member chapters are an influential force when legislation affecting human resource issues is being considered.

The purpose of CCSHRM is to provide opportunity for growth and development of human resource professionals. It is our goal to be the community’s leading authority on human resource issues. It is with this purpose in mind that we serve our membership.
